Along with eyeshadows, MAC is known the world over to have The. Best. Brushes. And these holiday 08 Enchanting Vermillion Brushes are no exception.

The great thing about MAC’s holiday brushes is that they are short handled. Not that there is anything wrong with the long handled brushes, but these are WAY easier to travel with. The quality is exactly the same as their full size brushes, but the colors and size are super appealing to us regular folks.
Included in this set are 129SE, 219SE, 239SE, 266SE and 316SE. For the non MAC obsessed, these are: a powder/blush brush, a tiny pencil brush (for precise shading on the eye), an eye shading brush (this is my favorite MAC brush, I use it ALL the time), a small angle brush (I use this one either for brow powders or blending eyeliner) and a lip brush. Delish. This set is $40 (a HUGE bargain!), and is available at MACCosmetics.com. Need I say, “for a limited time only?” I didn’t think so. Really, these will not last long. They have free shipping through December 1st, using the offer code EXCLUSIVE at checkout. Hurry!!!
I’m not a raving lunatic Nars fan like some folks are – not that there is anything wrong with that, of course - Orgasm is not even on my list of liked blushes. *gasp* I know, I’m weird. Its just not a good color for me. Anyhoo – I do like some of their color cosmetics , I really love the quality of their compacts, and I love their Multiples – a lot. You can pretty much put them anywhere you feel like, and they work. I love that.
Nars is introducing two new Multiple branded products – the Multiple Duo and the Multiple Bronzer.
The Multiple Duo is, as you might imagine, 2 versatile colors in one compact:

Copacabana/St. Barts – Glistening pearl taupe shimmer (cool skins)

Might as well test it with something I love. This is Lancome’s hottest new mascara, Oscillation. Yep it oscillates. Or vibrates anyway. 7000 times per minute. I know this seems scary, but it works. You come out of the adventure with gorgeous full and SEPARATED lashes. Super nifty.
Right now, Lancome has a bonus of deluxe samples of Blush Subtil in Rose Fresque and Miel Glace, Le Rouge Absolu in Bordeaux and Maquicomplete Complete Coverage Concealer in Correcteur - all available with a measly $35 purchase at lancome-usa.com. But, you have to remember to enter the promo code MUSTHAVE at checkout!
On counter in February ‘09 you can expect a lineup of lipsticks called Perfect Rouge and coordinating Smoothing Lip Pencils from Shiseido. This will be the first full line for Shiseido for Dick Page, Shiseido Makeup Artistic Director.
The collection will include 20 lipstick shades ($25 each) and 7 lip pencils ($20). The lipsticks range in shades from neutral beige to cherry red, and are top of the line in color and skin care technology. The lipsticks contain Shiseido’s proprietary Super Hydro-Wrap Vitalizing DE which is purported to hold moisture in the lips as well as Dual Optimizing Powder which works with available light and adjusts the color accordingly, providing a depth to the color that has been unseen before.
“I want people to get back into the simplicity of lipstick and play,” says Dick Page. I am very much looking forward to that!

Have you used MAC’s Mineralize Eye Shadows before? They are absolutely gorgeous. MAC does a lot of things great, but their eye shadows are top of the line. These are the shadows included in the Holiday 08 Red, She Said collection:

Inter-view:
Frosty deep navy/copper pearl stripe/frosty bronzy brown
This is a frost and probably a little better suited to warm skin tones.

Outspoken:
Frosty plum/silver pearl stripe/frosty violet
This is a frost that will work well on cool skin tones.

Threesome:
Frosty burnt red/copper pearl stripe/frosty mid tone pink
This is a frost suitable for warm skin tones.

Yep, its a new venture. Fun times. Makeup. I love it. Always have. I can remember when I was pretty darned young going through the cosmetic counters at the drug store like a mad dog – spending every extra bit of money I had (at 12, it wasn’t much) on makeup. Thankfully I am all grown up now and I still love makeup, but have money to buy lots more, and lots better makeup. And now I need it MUCH more. :) So, needless to say, this is what Crazy About Cosmetics is all about. The holiday collections are here, so lets get rolling!
